Explore the beautiful scenery of Scotland’s highest village, nestled in the Lowther Hills.

Wildfire Festival takes place in Wanlockhead, Scotland’s highest village.

Nestled in the sanctuary of the Lowther Hills, Wildfire is set to once again rock the former lead mining village.
The event will utiise the Wanlockhead Inn and surrounding amenities.

Stages will be split between an outdoor marquee and the interior of the Inn.

Campsite and toilets are a few hundred yards from the main arena.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

From the north or south via M74 motorway:

Exit at junction 13 and follow signs for Abington and Lead Mining Musuem (Tourist Attraction Sign)
Drive through the village of Abington (There is a Convenience Store, Off Licence and Post Office here) and take the first road on the right, the B797.

Travel along this road for approximately 10 minutes through the village of Leadhills (There is a licenced general store here).
Exit Leadhills and it is approximately 1.5 miles to Wanlockhead. When you arrive at Wanlockhead, follow signs for the Lead Mining Museum.
The venue location is 100m from there and will be sign posted.

From north or south via A76 Dumfries to Kilmarnock road:

Exit A76 at Mennock and follow the signs for Lead Mining Museum, Wanlockhead.
